even though me and the wife live in our own home, we always contemplate the best situation for hosting guests, and i must say that i always very fleetingly entertain the idea of bunk beds as a way to make our bedroom also be the guest bedroom. i don’t know what it is about bunk beds that makes them such a draw to me emotionally. like they hold some sorta special nostalgia, even though i only had a bunk bed with a sibling for a very brief part of my childhood, and i don’t really remember it very well. maybe it’s just that i love that it’s a way not to waste the vertical space in a room. so much vertical space is unused, completely untouched, in most arrangements of our living spaces, and it seems a shame. but still, why am i unnaturally drawn to bunk beds and lofted beds? i really don’t know! ^__^

recessed bed? amy, i think we should recess our mattress when we build the sleeping loft. :D
…as long as it doesn’t make it really hard to make the bed.

i never really looked that closely at the potter’s under-stair abode. but, gee—it’s awfully cute. set decorator who picked out that grubby little palm-size lamb plush?: sorry i never appreciated you before.
